Speaking at Ada’s List Conference in 2019

Ways of working and working in the open.

I’ve been invited to speak at a number of conferences and events about modern ways of working, including How to Have Better Government Meetings for Apolitical (follow the link to access the recording) in February 2020 with Vasant Chari Head of Cabinet Office Policy Lab, Susan Johnston and Gray O’Byrne from the Government of Canada.

I was selected from over 150 applications to speak at Ada’s List Conference in November 2019 with my talk Weeknotes for your Personal Development​. An in-person presentation at the annual Ada’s List conference at the Financial Times offices in London

Community building

I was invited to speak at the Community Leadership Summit, part of TechFestival Copenhagen September 2019. With James Cattell and Imran Hussain, we spoke about building a worldwide movement of changemakers and recorded an informal podcast after the event.

In October 2019 Apolitical invited me to deliver a Crash Course in Network-Building for Public Servants with Nour Sidawi from the Ministry of Justice and Miki Stricker-Talbot from the Government of Edmonton Canada.

Digital strategy

I delivered the keynote Championing Digital Transformation across Local Government at Digital Government Conference in September 2020.

Engaging, informative and interactive in-person talks and workshops.

At Service Design in Government March 2019, with Clara Songaila and Steve McCready, I delivered a talk Creating Safe Spaces for Challenge, Being a lead Assessor for Government Service Standard Assessments bringing together my personal experiences with professional standards for the delivery of government services.
